As you become more experienced and complete
your merit badges, you will want to advance in rank.
Troop 174's Advancement Chairperson is Mrs.Goldberg.
Advancements are the Boy Scout's
responsibility. To encourage individual responsibility, each Scout is
responsible for completing all the steps required to advance in rank.

(2011) BSA Advancement Requirements by Rank
Any
scout who has completed a merit badge must turn in the completed merit
badge card, signed by the merit badge counselor, Mr. Martino, the
Scoutmaster and Mrs. Goldberg, the Advancement Chairperson.
Incomplete, or partial blue cards will be returned to the Scout at the
first Troop meeting. Boards of Review for rank advancement, are
scheduled during Troop meetings, but a request for a BOR must come from
the Scout at least two weeks prior to the requested
date. A Board of Review should not be requested until you have
completed the requirements to advance in rank AND have had your
Scoutmaster's Conference,
Contact Mrs.Goldberg to request a Board of Review.
The Court of Honor is a time to formally recognize our scouts for their
achievements. Family and friends are always welcome!
